Editorial Manifesto // Archival Standard

Our Field-Note Method

watchespscenesafari.casa was established as an independent research journal committed to documenting motion picture physical geography with scholarly rigor and optical precision.

1. The Three-Point Source Standard

We do not rely on anecdotal user forums or travel blogs. A location is entered into our notebooks only when corroborated by at least two independent primary records: official municipal filming permits, published cinematographer diaries (such as American Cinematographer), or documented call sheets from studio archives.

2. Separating Fiction from Coordinates

Cinema is built on spatial juxtaposition. A scene where a character walks through a door in Manhattan and steps into a room in London is clearly annotated to delineate exterior location ground from interior stage builds.

3. Respect for Physical Grounds

Our entries emphasize observation and optical craft rather than tourism promotion. We never publish access routes across private grounds or encourage unlawful entry onto preserved heritage landscapes or private properties.

Non-Commercial Stance

Independent and Unaffiliated

watchespscenesafari.casa does not partner with travel agencies, commercial tour providers, or affiliate ticket aggregators.

Our focus remains uncompromised by commercial sponsorships or marketing arrangements. We write for cinema historians, film students, and enthusiasts interested in the craft of mise-en-scène, camera placement, and the tangible world that lives behind iconic 35mm, 70mm, and digital cinema frames.
